Charles Dickens is probably the most celebrated of English writers. He was a nineteenth century novelist who was considered as one of the greatest writers of his time. His work described contemporary life in England and his 'Hard Times', 'Great Expectations' and 'Oliver Twist' are still as popular today as they were at the time of their print.
