Africa is a sprawling landscape, comprising of a multitude of countries. Some of them are: the Republic of South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Lesotho and Swaziland; Angola and Mozambique; Zambia, Malawi, Zimbabwe; and occasionally, Zaire, Tanzania, Madagascar and Mauritius. Africa is a rapidly changing region. Its vast demographic growth, struggles to establish viable governments, and efforts to strengthen links to the world economy are challenging established ways of thinking about the continent. Hence, it has been always a focus of research studies.
